Kalakriti introduces Grade based learning of both Carnatic and Hindustani VOCAL Music through a systematic approach.

A set syllabus cannot contain the almost limitless repertoire that is Indian Music, but it creates a foundation to get the basics of S, R, G and M right, to enable the student to render a perfect blend of Sruthi(Pitch), Laya(rhythm) and Lyrics, in exploring that limitless repertorie.

Kalakriti has designed a 10 Grade syllabus, to lay a strong foundation for the student of Carnatic Music. Each level is thoughtfully designed with guidance from musicians and musicologists. Kalakriti has combined the grandeur of Carnatic Music with the limitless dynamism of Digital Media, to take it across the globe for any learner unbound by borders or barriers!

Kalyani Hariharan

Founder - Kalakriti School of Indian Music and Varam Foundation( NGO)

Kalyani Hariharan wears multiple hats. A versatile singer , Personal Transformation Coach, Social Entrepreneur, Events Curator and an author.

She is trained in Carnatic and Devotional Music and has given a few performances too. Her Gurus: Smt Jaya Shankar ( calcutta) Smt Latha Ramchand, Sri Calcutta Krishnamurthy and Smt Balamani. She has learnt from Gurus Smt Alamelu Mani.

She founded SARVAM CHOIR, to empower the lesser privileged and others to sing and perform.

Her passion for music led her ta work in Music World, HMV and Music Today, which further enhanced her musical ability and organising skills.

As a student of Chinmaya Mission she has learnt innumerable slokas, stotras, bhajans, Bhagavad Gita and other Sahasranamams. And continues learning every day, from our scriptures. She has done a series of spiritual talks for Shakti Vikatan.

She believes that the right way of chanting a sloka / singing, can bring Positive Vbration, Heal and bring Peace of Mind and Manifest our needs. It also aids in leading us on to a spiritual journey.

She lays emphasis on pronunciation and diction, of a word and learning with absolute Faith and Devotion.

Culminating her love for music and in spreading this beautiful art form, Kalyani founded Kalakriti School of Indian Music - an online platform for Learning, Teaching, Singing, Collaboratiny and Performing on their platform Kalakriti Arangam.

She wants to create a community with fellow music lovers and learners to preserve and promote this wonderful art form.
